All About Cyrus
My name is Cyrus Swire and I am 28 years old. I moved to Toronto from Sweden late last year. In Sweden I have been working as a freelance graphic designer, product placement planer, administrative assistant, salesman and accountant.
Since my arrival in Canada have been as a graphic designer and printing technician at a sign store as wells as working for some Canadian and Swedish clients.
Working at the sign store has given me lots of good and important experience in field of graphic design and sign production. Apart from that I also had an important opportunity to gain knowledge of the Canadian work environment.
At BrobyGrafiska I studied Advanced Vocational Education (AVE), Graphic Media Production and Graphic Media Technique. The education is a three year long programme consisting of courses such as Image and prepress, Graphic printing, Production planning and Information and multimedia technology. Two thirds of the education time is spent in classrooms and one third is spent at a workplace. As a trainee I worked in many
different fields of the vast graphic media production.
During the years I have had many different and exciting jobs that have given me invaluable experience in many ways. During the past three years I have been working mainly as a graphic designer in marketing, but I have also taken on various other projects related to graphic design. The knowledge and experience I have from my jobs as a salesman has given me good marketing skills. I use these skills in my work to benefit my clients in their pursuit of excellence.
